Does Zeolite Detox Have Side Effects?

Our readers wanted to know: Does Zeolite detoxification have side effects?

We sat down with Zeolite expert Micah Portney (from ZEO HEALTH) to pose the question and others that our readers ask most.

Traditional detoxifiers have side effects because the body thinks it's been poisoned.

"Many other natural detoxifiers," says Portney "actually have side effects such as diarrhea, nausea, headaches, and constipation. Every body is a little different. But the reason for that is because when they pull out the toxins in heavy metals, the body reacts as if it's been poisoned. And that's why you're getting those side effects. The reason why that doesn't happen with Zeolite is because it has a cage like structure."

The "cage" is key

"So when the negative charge pulls out the toxins in heavy metals, it traps it into the cage. The body's not re-exposed to those toxins and heavy metals, and it's out of your body within 6 to 8 hours."

"Now, there's a lot of people who say that they're very sensitive to specific products, so they are trying to be careful and take very little amounts of zeolite. And you're more likely to actually experience side effects."

How to avoid side effect symptoms and the "Concert Bus" effect

Portney explains, "I like to give a little scenario as a description: if you were in a concert with 50,000 people and everyone came out and there was one bus there, it would be completely inefficient and unorganized ... in chaos basically—because there would be no way to move those people properly.

If they came out and there was a fleet of busses, it would be organized and efficient and everything would flow properly."

Take more, not less

It's the same with Zeolite he says. "If you take very small amounts and it pulls the toxins and heavy metals out but there's not enough cages to carry it out of your body, then it may leave toxins and heavy metals for your body to be exposed to again.

So in this case, more is better. It's a natural mineral. It's not like a drug, it's not that type of thing.

But with zeolite you're more likely to experience side effects with less amounts than you would if you took more initially. So we always say to start with more, because then, you know, whatever is being pulled out is being carried out of the body efficiently.
